Hi, I'm Amanda, and welcome to my travel blog! Traveling has been one of my favorite things to do for as long as I can remember. I love exploring new places, but I also love going back to places that I've been to before. I'm not a world-traveler, but I have had the opportunity to visit many places. My absolute favorite place to travel to is Hawai'i. My dad grew up there, and my grandparents still live there, so I've been lucky enough to visit about fifteen times. In addition to Hawai'i, I also have gotten to explore other countries in Europe, Asia, and North America. Hopefully, I'll be able to visit all of the continents (except for Antarctica) one day.

On this blog, you'll find traveling stories, experiences, recommendations, and more. I love taking pictures when I'm traveling, so you'll see some of those as well. Almost every week, we'll "travel" to a new destination - I hope that you enjoy reading my blog, and I hope that you enjoy our "vacation around the world." Every trip provides new adventures, and I'm excited to share that with you!

There's No Place Like Rome - Rome, Italy - Part I

Starting off my travel blog with a post about the Eternal City! Rome itself is filled with world-famous buildings, including the Colosseum and Vatican Museums. My family and I were only here for a few days this past summer, but we were still able to see so many things. It honestly can be a little overwhelming. So, here are a few of the things that I say you can't miss "when in Rome!" First and foremost, the Colosseum is something that you must see - a trip to Rome isn't complete without it! I would also highly recommend going inside. You'll be able to see the place where the gladiators actually fought, which I think is pretty cool. The only thing I didn't love about my visit to the Colosseum was the heat - the weather in Rome in late July is uncomfortable to say the least, but that was because of the not-so-great timing of our trip.
